The DBS manga gives a slightly better impression of the future Babari, with not only better architecture but also writing, musical instruments, and some sort of peace-keeping authority in place. Not that Zamasu appreciates any of it much.
Finally, by the year 1000, all the pieces are in place for DBO’s main story…which is never really resolved because the game closed shop, but some of the main elements like Mira were recycled for Heroes and Xenoverse. It all comes full circle!
This is the world of DB Heroes: Victory Mission, a V-Jump tie-in manga that marked Toyotaro’s first official DB work. This general scenario of “DB Heroes as Yu-Gi-Oh” was later adapted for the game Super DB Heroes: World Mission, and the Heroes 10th anniversary promo episode.
As Sanjo notes in the Official Fan Book, he originally created Dai as merely an innocent boy who admired heroes. Then when the original one-shot became an ongoing series, the character was retooled into becoming a full-fledged hero himself. Dai’s speech here reflects that shift.
In the manga, Dai runs into the kid at the dragon shrine, who explains how he’s praying to the dragon god for Vearn’s defeat. In the anime, Dai only overhears this kid’s prayers and doesn’t interact with him directly.
While Goku Prime was unsung during his own lifetime, 100 years hence his posthumous fame rivals Mister Satan…at least on tournament grounds. Somehow, Puck and co never put two and two together on Goku Jr’s ancestry until the tournament announcer spells it out.
Finally, we return to 890. In GT this is around when the Goku Jr special takes place, while in the DB Online world this marks the centennial of the Majin race, after their creation in 790…or 791, or whatever. A replica of Buu’s house is built, just like Lincoln’s log cabin.
Regardless of the natural Saiyan lifespan, one common piece of fan speculation is to wonder whether Goku will actually live 1,000 years, since that’s how much time Old Kai had left when he gave his life to Goku. I guess only time will tell if Super ever picks up this thread.
Later, at the tail end of the original manga, Vegeta revealed that Saiyans stay young longer than Earth folk, as part of their “warrior race” schtick. However, at this point there’s no mention of precisely how long.
