They got to show a surprising amount of red blood this time around. It’s pretty much on par with the manga.

Meanwhile in other anime stuff: DBZ ep.125 shows Goku and Piccolo attempting to get drivers licenses, in a plot apparently inspired by two manga title pages of them driving. The narrator says the androids are 3 years away, so this is apparently still early on in their training

17 and 18’s relationship is clarified after the Cell Games, when 18 reveals they are twin siblings. The kanji used here indicate that 18 is the older sister and 17 the younger brother.

Having shelved his attempt to make a robotic duplicate of his dead son, Gero now uses Lapis and Lazuli for his 17th and 18th forays into the androids arts, restructuring them through mainly organic means, with only a few small mechanical parts. But he doesn’t ask permission first

So yeah…according to Trunks, Bulma dumped Yamcha for infidelity. She’s been jealous of his popularity with other girls since the Red Ribbon arc, so this seems to fit…but of course Trunks never got to hear Yamcha’s side of things.

Meanwhile, Gero’s spy robot is still hard at work. This time it collects cells from Freeza and Cold, but stops short of taking any from this “Trunks” guy. We don’t want to make things too Saiyan-centric, after all.

While investigating Cell’s time machine, Trunks says that it arrived four years ago, a year before he first came to warn everyone about the androids. Kami notes how he’s been feeling uneasy these last four years, but naturally he didn’t bother to tell anyone about it until now.
