September 7th: Yamcha attacks again, fails again, and decides to try a less direct approach. This is explicitly shown as the next day after Yamcha’s first appearance, but Daizenshuu 7 accidentally lumps this in with all the September 9th stuff
September 2nd: the next morning, Goku finds Turtle while out exercising. The two take Turtle back to the sea, and get some gifts from Roshi.
Anyway, one thing leads to another, and before you know it these crazy kids are sharing a roof and even bathing together. It’s a sweet summer (?) romance (?!)
Alright, this time let’s enhance that footage a bit more, CSI-style.
@Chakkusama They usually include stuff like character bios/relationship charts and whatnot, but it’s rarely if ever anything you wouldn’t get from the movie itself or the main series. They also have other bonus stuff like quizzes and posters
Toriyama’s noncommittal statement inspired Naho Ooishi to use “Panchy” as the name for Bulma’s mom in her Saikyo Jump manga DBSD (a humorous-ish retelling of the main series). Meeting Bulma’s parents, Goku wonders if her kid will be named “Fundoshi” (a Japanese loincloth)
Bulma mentions attending school early on in the DB manga (her initial ball quest is during the above-mentioned summer vacation). The natural assumption is that 16-year old Bulma is a high school student, but Jaco retcons this into her attending college as a faculty member.
Akkuman’s two tournament wins are mentioned as he fights Goku, and likewise for Chapa’s victory, but no timeframe is specified for either. Chapa’s hat trick: winning the whole thing without ever being struck by his opponent.
