I want to see the AU where Larhart stays dead and Borahorn is the one who comes to Hyunckel’s rescue.
And here’s…um…some kinda Chinese landscape painting, I guess. Anyone know what the specific model is here?
And here’s Bulma posing as Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring:
First, here’s Katsushika Hokusai’s Great Wave off Kanagawa with Goku thrown into the mix:
As Maximum accesses Larhart’s file, the manga shows the English spelling “Larhalt”, which is also used in the Dai Perfect Book. “Larhart” was used in the more recent Dai kanzenban release, and in the CR subs. Both are valid romanizations.
In the anime, Maximum says that all his data is gathered from Heyedras (aka Devil’s Eyes, the eyeball monsters used by Vearn and co for reconnaissance). The manga leaves it unexplained where exactly he gets all his detailed info from.
OK, OK…the army of metallic men bearing down on a pair of worn-out warriors seems a tad familiar.
The manga includes narration explaining how Hym witnessed Hyunckel’s brave visage as he headed into his terrifying final battle. The anime leaves this out, probably in part because Hyunckel himself says more or less the same thing right after.
(And also Pilaf’s ninja dog lackey Shu. I’ll leave it to you to judge which of these characters is ultimately most similar to Maximum)
Maximum is voiced by veteran VA Tesshō Genda. After playing lightweights like Toguro and Kaido, it’s great to finally see him portray a true powerhouse.
