It’s always exhilarating when I hear about a movie I haven’t seen, and it sounds so great that I feel like I HAVE TO SEE IT RIGHT NOW. That’s how I felt during most of @PureCinemaPod’s disaster movie episode. So many exciting recommendations, presented in a fun way. Check it out!
I'm excited to dive into the book I got at the comic book store today! As you can tell by the cover, this PLANET OF THE APES comic isn't adapted from the '68 film, but from Rod Serling's original screenplay, which was heavily rewritten. I'm thrilled to check it out!
Since I was thinking about it after the film, I'm going to take a page from @Massawyrm and suggest four films that I think would pair well with FACE THE MUSIC. :)
@amandagabr1elle I don’t know if you’ve read the ‘60s Spider-Man comics, but I think you’d like Gwen Stacy as she appears in them. In a lot of ways, she has a similar personality to Ursula’s.
‘60s Gwen is a fictional crush of mine. She’s why I’ve always preferred Gwen over MJ. :)
You guys probably saw my earlier tweet about one of these, but I just want to throw a #RandomShoutout to Microsoft’s trilogy of Arcade anthologies. It was through these that I gained knowledge of and affection for a lot of the classic arcade games, and I’ll always be grateful. :)
@KyleOVox That’s interesting regarding the nightmare inspiration! I also think the abstract design lends to that tension; looking at the more detailed promo art, I don’t find it nearly as intense as the vague shapes in the game. :)
...And I just had to include some runners-up, because choosing only four is just too hard. :)
Great art from @DisneyAnimation's unfinished #Chanticleer! Drawings by Marc Davis, painting by Mel Shaw (I think)!
