the fucking CACKLE i let out upon reading this page lmao

i LOVE that lord english is indestructible and can only be defeated thru glitches and exploits, just like lord british in the ultima games

what's even more interesting is that bcuz this is the tail end of a long adventure of these characters, they've already wrapped their heads around the time travel bullshit and know how to combat it

this time travel mechanic is..... actually super cool and interesting ngl. i can't believe homestuck made me genuinely like a time travel mechanic.....

i'm starting to understand how this inventory system works

each guy has a deck of cards, but the deck doesn't just turn into a container, each of the cards transforms into a different item. very interesting

an earlier page showed that the midnight crew comic was on act like 1031 or somthn

which means we are jumping into the grand finale of a story in progress, and the tone and scale of this intermission reflect that, and that's honestly super interesting

couple important asides from this page:
