Wakusei Woodstock: Funky Horror Band - Sega (1991) A launch title for the Mega CD, featuring a group of alien musicians. Since it was a launch title, it was infamously rushed, and is regarded as a huge disaster
Nextech / Nex Entertainment is responsible for quite a number of action-RPGs, including Linkle Liver Story, Crusader of Centy, Shining Soul (and the PS2 2D Shining Tears/Wind) and Children of Mana
Persona 3 Portable - Atlus (2009). An enhanced version of the PS2 game adding in a female protagonist, including many new social links, as well as other tweaks, like actually being able to command your teammates.
Mouryou Senki Madara - Konami (1990). A Famicom RPG based on a manga. Has some outstanding music using the VRC6 mapper, similar to Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania III).
One of the most infamous scenes in Tengai Makyou II is this encounter with Benten, where you can see the shadows of her nipples (scandal!) Many subsequent releases remove them, probably due to CERO concerns - pictured right is the GameCube remake.
None of the main Tengai Makyou games were localized, but the Neo Geo fighting game did receive an English release as Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash. It features characters from the first two RPG games.
Keroro RPG - Namco / Tales Studio (2010). A parody RPG featuring Sgt. Frog characters, in what's basically a secret Tales Of game, even using the same battle system.
