This scene really is a whole different mood in the LN. I liked the whole triumphant feel in the anime, but despite it playing out more or less the same the LN feels so much more visceral & heavy. Great adaptation nonetheless, just a different take.

Whenever I see Petelgeuse/Sirius art I kinda think how amazing it is that almost each arc adds slightly more depth & richness to Geuse's character, whether through backstory, motivations, dynamics with certain cast members, lore, etc.
