Read Batman/Fortnite: Zeropoint last night, and as someone that doesn't care much for the game...most of it is pretty good?
Written by Christos Gage, with story consultant Donald Mustard.
Art by Reilly Brown & Christian Duce.
Some nice covers by Mikel Janin.
This panel from The Brave And The Bold 89 by Bob Haney and Irv Novick made me snort out loud on a packed train...
Was going to read the 2009 'Terra' mini series for the Amanda Conner art, but it said it span of of Terror Titans so I read that for context.
It didn't give me any, and it itself appears to be a spinoff from Teen Titans but Joe Bennett sure could draw even back in 2008
I cant say I expected the book to be serious or ground breaking, but I thought it might be fun.
As if body swapping wasn't enough, there's a random plot threat where Reggie is dressed as The Joker and gets knocked out - coming to and thinking he's the actual Joker. Ugh.
Body swapping is my least favourite tropes so this wasn't for me.
Melo's art (pictured) was definitely better and more consistent than Braga's. Braga's renditions of both duos looked the same, so having Melo draw the pages with the B&V bodies helped differentiate.
Buried in amongst this series though was the crossover we actually deserved: Sabrina The Teenage Witch meets Zatanna.
Read Harley & Ivy meet Betty & Veronica last night. Short version: not good.
Written by Paul Dini/Marc Andreyko with art by Laura Braga/Adriana Melo. Shocked Dini was involved tbh.
Had some nice covers though;
Amanda Conner
Stephanie Hans
Jen Bartel
Bilquis Evely
Just seen this page from next week's Savage Avgengers issue 2. Art by Carlos Magno.
Yeah...I'm ready.
Read Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target issue 2.
Sure it's not an essential book, nor is it mind blowing but it is a fun little romp by writen Brandon Thomas, and Ronan Cliquet can sure draw some great action
