Ridiculously badass throughout. It's incredible how the Zeck/Beatty combo manage to make that fairly dumb original costume look Deadly serious and believable without any alterations.

Going to finish on this shot of both our (anti) heroes all kitted up because I think it's awesome and I really like how Logan looks with that cigar. I'm glad he never wears his mask in this series.

Now go track down these back issues, because they're an absolute gem.

What you love is still there when the action hits: clean yet detailed line work, great perspectives and locations, sense of motion and effective negative space.

There's an air of Geoff Darrow about this book, but also not quite - maybe with a dash of something European

Issue 2 isn't quite as strong visually: some of Monica Bennett's colours are less washed out and pastel esque leaving things looking a bit muddy, and Aron Wiesenfeld/Richard Bennett's Logan looks a bit *too* ugly at times..

Very accessible, you need no knowledge about Deathblow

There's a phenomenal chase scene in issue 1, one of the best I've seen in comics.

The choreography of Wiesenfeld's layouts coupled with Bennett's finished detailed yet simple linework give a great sense of speed and motion.

Light on plot: set in 80s San Francisco Chinatown, Logan's girlfriend gets kidnapped by Chinese ninjas, Deathblow helps him out, &there's some mysticism.

But it doesn't matter because its an elegant action comics with some lovely scenery, unique angles & effective negative space

Put off by the covers, but then opened issue 1 and was met with this opening two page spread.

Page breakdowns (and plot) by Aron Wiesenfeld, finished by Richard Bennett and colours by Monica Bennett.

I am familiar with none of these creators, but quite frankly it is stunning

I've just read the two part Deathblow and Wolverine crossover mini, and boy this is not an exagerration to say this is one of the most unique looking 90s Image books out there.
