They're a big heavy hitter 90s action team, but you know what that's okay.
It's a relic of its time, but it's enjoyable.
Dynamic thinly plotted war between aliens on earth, but the characters all look cool together on the page and it's pretty - which is perfectly fine
Some of these 'Spider-Villain' variants are quite fun.
Would read any one of these match ups:
Thor v Lizard @TonyDanielx2
Valkyrie v Hydro-Man @rianbowart
Iron Man v Boomerang @urbanbarbarian
Star Lord v Trapster @Cpachecoficial
Read MODOK: Head Games issue 3.
Breaking the fourth wall in comic can feel forced, but @BlumJordan & @pattonoswalt do it with great effect with Gwenpool. Funny & meta with a great Hickman gag.
Scott Hepburn smashes it on art once again.
A must for fans of the show
Aquaman 80th special?
FINALLY.
Some great creators on this.
Variant wise I'm most interested in seeing Michael Cho, Walt Simonson and JLGL
The introduction of Jolt was a really smart move for the series.
A young point character for the team, who also doesn't know their true motives.
Great source of tension & intrigue for the book with a cool costume to boot.
Checked out Ka-Zar 1-3 on Marvel Unlimited.
Heroes Reborn meant quality creators had to get inventive with lower tier characters.
Wait has a good handle on Ka-Zar as a Tarzan type family man who misses the western world, but that Andy Kubert artwork is a sight to behold!
Further evidence Jan Duursema is the definitive artist of Star Wars comics: the aliens, the energy, the action.
Those Dave McCaig colours really make it sing.
And yes, Maul killed that guy just by having some fucked up thoughts.
You want to see Darth Maul training with his top off? This mini has got you.
Duursema does a great job with those all over the body tattoos.
