Trapped in the withered body of an old man, the childish & fickle Ivan Dilisnya fears being alone. He killed his family when he learned his sister/favorite playmate was being sent away for school, and now refuses to face the reality that he was given everything & destroyed it all

Using a psychic amplifier that reaches into the "toxic heavens", the God-Brain transmits thoughts beyond Bluetspur. Its servants carry out bizarre experiments that play off stories of alien abduction (lost time, unexplainable scars, crop circles + mutilated livestock, etc.) 🛸

This one's WILD and reminds me of @AyaGolender's Cizzilini in my Ravenloft one-shot:

- Lyssa von Zarovich, a distant relative of Strahd who has become a vampire in her own quest to claim Castle Ravenloft; she wants to resurrect a historic enemy of Strahd (like Sergei or Osybus)

Strahd plays the gracious noble as long as it suits him, but beneath that facade is a selfish monster who sees everyone as his inferior.

He is deeply tied to the land via blood magic, but his inability to claim Tatyana or leave Barovia tease Strahd's thirst for conquest.

Settings like Dark Sun & Ravenloft can be grim, but that doesn't mean they're hopeless. Nothing leads to a boring, unfun game quicker than "EVERYTHING IS AWFUL".

PCs should have agency & ability to change the world for the better. Don't punish them every time they're good people
