Ezmerelda d'Avenir was born a Radanavich, but never felt like she belonged. She tried to find that belonging w/ van Richten after he brought her mother to justice, but their personalities clashed. She struck out on her own, traveling with Vistani to find family on her own terms.

Rudolph's slain teenaged son, Erasmus, still exists as a ghost! Due to his father's curse at the hands of the Radanavich matriarch, Rudolph cannot perceive him however. Erasmus still does his best to help others, communicating using colorful images painted in glowing ectoplasm.

Jander is a HUGE enemy of Strahd, who drove his lover Anna mad (she was an incarnation of Tatyanna).

He's actually responsible for the worship of the "Morninglord" in Barovia. His attempt to save a fellow adventurer resulted in the dhampir Savra Sunstar, who loathes him.

Haunted by the ghosts of those he murdered, not even suicide could free Lord Godefroy from his torment. He hired the alchemist Rastinon to create the Apparatus, hoping to put their souls to rest, but instead turned Mordent into a haunted land, bound to his House on Gryphon Hill.

Sapient lab animals could escape Ludendorf U & ask the PCs to help find a new home, or Baron Rudolph von Aubrecker could hire them to recover a family member's body from an icy shipwreck only he "survived" (or take revenge on Dr. Mordenheim for turning him into a brain in a jar).

Dr. Mordenheim's desire is to find Elise & recover (or at least recreate) the miracle of the Unbreakable Heart, but the reborn flesh golem is confused + frustrated by her new existence. She avoids people out of fear they'll kill her to retrieve her Heart.

Harmonia is the heart of Kartakass's music scene, where artists vie for the opportunity to perform at the Crystal Club (its stage is carved from a giant geode). The price for a bad performance is so steep that artists go into "exile" (are torn apart by the lycanthrope clubgoers).

Harkon leads his pack from a tavern in Skald. His lieutenant is Haldrake Moonbaun, a tattooed werewolf mixologist/bouncer.
