016. Kueh Makmur: Also named Kuih Momo, Ghee Cookies, and Biskut Arab Susu. Believed to may have originated from the Middle East, it uses clarified butter (ghee) and is sometimes filled with powdered peanut. A popular choice of kueh to help break the fast during Ramadan.
015. Huat kueh: Also named Fa Gao/Fatt Koh. Made with flour and no eggs, it is steamed till the top splits open - giving off the impression of "blooming" or "to huat" which means to prosper in Hokkien. The Chinese believe that by offering these cakes, good fortune will come.
014. Kueh Bangkit: Small but fragrant coconut cookies that will crumble easily and melt in your mouth. It is another snack that is a popular sight during festive seasons.

009. Nian Gao: also known as Ti Kueh in Hokkien, Kuih Bakul in Malay, or Kue Keranjang in Bahasa Indonesia. This traditional Chinese sweet, sticky rice cake is commonly prepared just before the Lunar New Year, and is considered auspicious to eat it during that period. #kueh

008. Kueh Pie Tee: A popular Peranakan (Nyonya) dish. It resembles an inverted top hat, and is in fact a crispy pastry shell, to be filled with ingredients of your choice. Common filling include shredded vegetables, thinly-sliced omelet and small shrimp, with chilli sauce.
