Powers back, Ben and Johnny beat the bad guys and bury the hatchet and go home. Johnny has faint, dream-like memories of Sue being there, but they never talk about it or question how they got their powers back, and in FF#1 Ben still thinks Reed and Sue might be dead. Not great.

There had been a few pages of Mad Thinker doing things before this point, but I don't think enough groundwork for this had been laid. Thinker trying to replace Reed and building his own FF with complete strangers because he doesn't understand family bonds feels right though.

If I ever get an autograph from Chip Zdarsky, I'ma ask him to write "Your butt's like a couple of melted frisbees, George."

Look at this great Silver Surfer. Stupid lettering getting in the way.

Doomlactus is replaced by Emmalactus, with the power to recreate the universe. Once again, killer stuff. Jim Cheung and Alden Wong handle the lineart admirably, but the Frank Martin colors deserve a standing ovation.

This is awesome. Giant-Sized Thing vs Doom-Galactus for the fate of a universe.
Ben's "there's a difference" line is an all-time great. I want to get a commission of Ben punching Doom and have this line hand-lettered on it just so I can have it framed.

"It's Clobberin' Time" is one of those things that needs to be used sparingly now, because it's become predictable and cliche, but this is a good use of it.

This is where the series goes from pretty good to amazing.
Dr. Doom became Galactus and ate everything. That deserves a two-syllable damn.

1. I want one of these jackets.
2. I didn't realize that was supposed to be Alicia initially.
3. Spidey feels a little mean here, but he's been that way with Johnny before.

I love this little bit. Reed and Doom being college classmates was always such a weird connection, but throwing in stuff like this makes it feel more grounded.
