Okay, so I did @VoizeArt's outfit suggestion.
I'm going to be honest, I don't really have the energy or time to participate in the rest of the memes that signed up for. I need to get writing and actual work done.
Here we go. Please pick yummy things.
I'm wondering if I should do Acario (he's the blonde guy) as well...

I got nominated by @Hongvanngh so I'm participating in this thread.

Got a character design hammered out for Cade. Haven't said much about this guy, but he's basically Acario's drug dealer. Now to design his little brother, who is a robotics nerd.
I went back and cleaned up the lighting and am much happier with this now. Always do a sphere test if you're rendering with fall offs. Takes like 5 min and saves you 5 hours of pain later.
WIP of an illustration.
I'm trying to be looser and more expressive with my linework. I think that this might speed things up a lot for the comic.
Also trying to use more hue variation to make my paintings a bit livelier. This won't be implemented for comicking, but definitely for illustration.
Did some head studies and applied my comicking style. I think I've got a solid aesthetic down. Redesigned Lily a bit. I like her hair waaay better now. The texture looks much more realistic and fitting given her ethnicity.
Doing some flatting tests. Honestly, as much as I like CSP's customization, I find freehanding it with shortkeys in Sai takes about the same amount of time.
Is anyone an expert on binary-flatting and trapping lines? Do you even have to do this anymore, given modern printing?
I spent so long customizing and organizing Sai brushes yesterday. Tested different inking approaches.
I really like the middle one but it is too labor intensive to effectively use for the comic.
Quick test paint of Acario in a slightly different style. I'm realizing the way Soejima and a lot of Japanese SAI users paint is a bit too soft for my style. I relied a lot on layers to get a few harder edges in there.
