@FreeManDespair Crash sites of starships have resulted in independent colonies of piqha growing fantasy societies on various worlds. Outside the influence of a starship's computer, their forms grow more fanciful and expressive.
So, an Ynk Pyqha would have a chalky bone mask instead of a grey one, a single eye instead of two, and pale flesh due to the Ynk feeding on the Pyqha. If I change the eye to a pinhole and the mouth to a slot, in homage of NPCs, I've come up with a look that is adequately creepy.
There's design overlap with the ynk, of theria. When there's design overlap, I should merge the designs.
What would an ynk-infested Piqha look like?
So this time, we're leaning in on the angularity.
I don't like the nose. It's not very piqha to have a clear schnoz. I do like the angry NPC look.
I'm trying to think of the mechanics of this. This guy has no aether crystals, which is un-piqha, and intended. But...
First iteration. Odo-like smoothing. Helps sell the genericicity of the trope. I dunno, though. I like the angularity of the first design.
I think the dot eyes and mouth slit could be smaller.
It makes sense for one of my villains to deploy NPC Piqha, so I've decided to design such.
This is a more or less straightforward translation of NPC to Piqha. I would like to make it a little less obvious, but as a first draft, it suffices.
And I've been mulling the whole thing over all week. maybe I should just make big projects anyway. Go all in on my video game concepts. Something like that.
