@Cookiesneedlove @Jonjoeeeeeeeeee @AaronKasarion Sonic also had fangs in the Sonic the Hedgehog Story Comic (1991 three-volume manga) and in some of Naoto Ohshima's artwork. All predating Sonic Adventure.
@SorcererLance @AbelMunizJr There’s a problem with that theory. In the Japanese manual the reason Angel Island fell was via the Death Egg literally crashing into it, which can be seen in the S&K’s title screen and Lava Reef’s background. In Emerald Hill Sonic and Tails haven’t boarded the Death Egg yet.
@Boostifer I’m interested in exploring the idea of Special Stage Dimension as part of a game’s setting as well, reason being that with the kind of surreal fantasy environments we’ve all come to know them for you could theoretically go all out with wildly imaginative ideas gameplay wise.
@Roxcon1 @DreaminErryDay Just get Yuji Uekawa to draw the humans. He designs the Sonic anthros plus Eggman and designed the Billy Hatcher characters.
@RanenWise The two illustrations in the middle were pre-existing art. Sharptooth is early SA era Naoto Ohshima.
@RanenWise The artwork third from the top also appeared in the Dreamcast Promotion Disk (1998-10-22) and the game Spike Out. That one’s my personal favorite since it’s pretty close to Saturn era Sonic.
@SPEEPSHighway It was also one of Sonic’s concept illustrations. The difference between this artwork and the finalized version used for Sonic Adventure is the lack of gray soles on the bottom of his shoes.
