@RanenWise The two illustrations in the middle were pre-existing art. Sharptooth is early SA era Naoto Ohshima.
@RanenWise The artwork third from the top also appeared in the Dreamcast Promotion Disk (1998-10-22) and the game Spike Out. That one’s my personal favorite since it’s pretty close to Saturn era Sonic.
@SPEEPSHighway It was also one of Sonic’s concept illustrations. The difference between this artwork and the finalized version used for Sonic Adventure is the lack of gray soles on the bottom of his shoes.
@awsgames @Sonic_Hedgeblog Yeah, the person who runs this account is Rlan. Reading this thread was a blast to the past.
@ogilphone @Sonic_Hedgeblog It’s also an overlay of this pre-release screenshot.
@Sonic_Hedgeblog Fun fact: This screenshot from the CG intro is a high quality flipped version of an E-102 Gamma screenshot. You can even see Gamma’s target laser behind Big.
@MysticMania @Spiral_Cris SegaSonic Bros., an unreleased arcade puzzle game for Sega System C2 hardware, originally set for release in 1992. The band members and Sonic 3’s Blue Sphere theme were one of the things discovered within the game.

@Sonic_Hedgeblog It’s weird seeing the DX version after so long. I’m so used to Red Mountain actually being red.
