@LateNightHalo @GerardsJulien @Rythayze Also something else really cool from concept art: A lot of Brute concept art in 3 has them with Greek and Roman inspired armor, tying into their naming scheme. You can still see remnants of this the helmets for Captains.
And then in Reach's concept art, it's more of a mix...
@MattMcMuscles I can't speak for the Witcher, but often shows trying to be grounded OVER-weather their sets and costumes
The recent Cortes series (left) Amazon made for example has the Aztec clothing and architecture look super dirty and dingy when it really looked like the images on the right
@LateNightHalo Isaac Hannaford's art (which that render is based on) captures the spirit of Halo perfectly to me as well, both his work with H3 and HR era stuff.
You can find his stuff at https://t.co/UnJorMjECX , https://t.co/iW8cx207s8, https://t.co/u6u3CtxyJy & https://t.co/booKF3RhDu
@DSAArchaeology @Discovery @Zotzcomic ....Scott&Stuart Gentling (pics 1-2), Louis S. Glanzman (pic 3), Pierre Joubert (pic 4), @nosukuk2 ; the relavenent Voyages D'Alix issues, & @Boilerplate1893 & @AztecEmpire1520 's comic!
I might be forgetting some people, or who I have good art from but don't know the authors...
@PoeTheBadger There's a Pokemon Fangame called Pokemon Sage, whose region is based on Latin America, that has an area where there are ruins based on the site of Tula. One of the cities is planned to be based on Tenochtitlan as well, alongside a US SW/Pueblo inspired town, among many others.
