When the unsuspecting Theseus raised his hand to drink his wine, Aegeus recognized his old sword swinging from Theseus’ belt. In a panic, he slapped the cup away from Theseus. Once again, Medea escaped on a chariot carried by winged serpents. 🐉

Theseus Ep:11

Theseus' last adventure was Procrustes. He had an iron bed, on which he forced his victims to lie. If they were shorter than the bed, he stretched their body. If they were too tall, he cut off their legs. Theseus killed him by putting him on his own device. 🛏⛓🪓

Theseus Ep. 6:

Not much further Theseus saw a big man with an axe. He was the thief Sciron, who forced the travelers to wash his feet & kicked them over the cliff into the sea where a monstrous turtle devoured them. Theseus pushed him from the clif and the huge turtle ate him.🐢

Despite of the advice of his grandfather to travel by sea to Athens, Theseus chose the dangerous overland route. He wanted to face the thieves that terrorized the people. The first robber was Periphetes. He had only one eye and his weapon was a bronze club. 👁

In Greek Mythology, Kymopoleia was the goddess and the personification of the violent storm waves of the sea. She married the hundred-handed, storm-giant Briareos. Her name means "the one who rides the waves“. 🌊🌊🌊 🏄‍♀️

Perseus Episode 13:

Perseus was captivated by the beauty of Andromeda and when the sea monster appeared he pulled out Medusa’s head turning it to stone. Perseus asked the father of Andromeda for her hand in marriage. Upon witnessing Perseus bravery the king accepted immediately.

Perseus Episode 8:

Equipped with the gifts from the gods Perseus was ready to confront Medusa. He flew to the land of the Gorgons. But there were also Medusa’s sisters. Stheno & Euryale were deathless creatures. He knew that one look from the gorgons would turn him to stone. 🙈

Perseus Episode 6:

The three Graeae were three strange, ancient and grey-haired women. They shared one eye and one tooth which they took turns using. Perseus following the advice of Hermes stole the eye from the old sisters and forced them to tell him how to reach Medusa. 👁 🦷

In Greek Mythology the Fates were the three old goddesses who determined human destinies. The sisters controlled the thread of life of every mortal from birth to death. No one could interfere with their decision. #Destiny2 🧶✂️
