Argonauts nº18:

Hera compelled the daughter of King, Medea, to fall in love with Jason. Medea was skilled in magic and made him promise to marry her if she helped him. Jason agreed so she gave him a magic lotion to rub on his skin. He would remain invulnerable for one day.🍃

Argonauts nº 16:

The Argonauts approached the island of Ares(Aretias). Phineus warned Jason that man-eating birds with beaks made of bronze settled on the island after Hercules chased them. The crew banged their spears on their shields and the Stymphalian birds were driven away.

Argonauts nº 15:

Following Phineas advice, Jason let a dove to fly between the rocks. Luckily, the dove lost only its tail feathers. The Argonauts rowed powerfully to get through losing only the stern of their ship. From that time the rocks never closed again. ⛰🌊⛰

Argonauts nº 9:

The six-armed giants threw huge rocks to Hercules but he bent his famous bow and unleashed his arrows with the Hydra Poison and many of the beasts died. The rest of the Argonauts  were able to return and after they killed all the monsters they left the island. 🏹

Tithonus was a prince of Troy and the lover of Eos, the Goddess of Dawn. When Eos asked Zeus to make Tithonus immortal, she forgot to ask for eternal youth. Tithonus lived forever but he grew old, withered and he was constantly babbling. In despair, Eos turned him into a cicada.

Argonauts nº 8:

Argo landed in the island of the Doliones and the King Cyzicus, greeted them warmly. While most of the crew were in the palace the Gegenees, a tribe of six-armed giants attacked Argo. But the monsters weren't aware that Hercules remained behind to guard the ship.

When Orpheus was killed by the Maenads his lyre was thrown into a river. Zeus sent an eagle to get the lyre and placed both of them into the heavens creating one of the most beautiful constellations. Lyre is a small constellation but with an amazing story! #WednesdayThoughts 🎶

The spirit of Nephele, send a gold-haired winged ram & the children escaped. Helle fell and drowned in the strait who took her name(Hellespont). The ram took the boy to Colchis. Phrixus married the daughter of the king. They sacrificed the ram & became the constellation Aries.2/2

In Greek Mythology, Terpsichore was one of the nine Muses and goddess of dance. She was usually depicted with a lyre, accompanying the dancers' with her music. Her name means "Delighting in Dance". #InternationalDanceDay
