We're looking for an *experienced* 2D *game* artist to work with us on open-source games and missions (paid work of course!).
Looking for *stylized* art, like that of @tomtusk, @stefscribbles below, or similar.
Please send a *game art portfolio* (I won't reply otherwise).
We're preparing our next project... burning Robi in purple flames with a #shader in #godotengine by @Razoric480
The shader makes a dynamic particles emission mask, so flame particles spawn where Robi is dissolving.
Code a Professional 3D Character with @godotengine is out in early access!

How to design a modular character for games. Rig the sprite early on, so you don't detail it too much, and realize some sprites don't animate well too late!

I was going to do a walk cycle animation tutorial with Godot 3.1 and mesh deform: too many small bugs and limitations get in the way at the moment.
The system is a lot better, great for many anims, just not characters yet.
On the picture: onion skin doesn't work with skeleton2d
Here's the progress on Godette's sprite from today's Krita stream. She needs some more work, but at least it's a start.
Nicholas contributed the experience and leveling system, stats curves, and XP rewards for encounters 😄

Doing some game characters with @Krita_Painting, for the Godot course. It had been a while! 😅
The vector tutorial is on the way. I've just got to find a good asset to cover in the second part.
