The opening page from the preview to Justice League #53 reminded me a LOT of the opening of Batman #687, and I have to wonder if @Williamson_Josh wrote it as an intentional reference?
Stephanie Brown, perhaps the most forgotten Robin, had a brief tenure, and during her time as Robin never interacted with Nightwing. She snuck into the cave in a homemade Robin suit, and Bruce pretty much accepted her as his new Robin in Robin #126.
This year is the 80th Anniversary of Robin. So let's talk about what that means.
Robin debuted in Detective Comics #38, with the name and costume inspired by Robin Hood. It's a relatively short, and simple origin.
The secret to being just like Nightwing? Always try to do the best you can. Simple as that.
Nightwing represents a lot of things, but one of the best is the idea of forging your own path, doing things your way. You may make mistakes, but that's how you grow and learn.
Or, "you'll never know if you can fly unless you take the risk of falling!"
When artists give Nightwing's hair that flop/swoosh >>>>>>>>>>>
I like the idea of Nightwing as a modern Knight. Fits the name, if nothing else.
"The knight-errant is a character that has broken away from the world of his origin, in order to go off on his own to right wrongs or to test and assert his own chivalric ideals."
