"An #Orc woman should never allow her pride to prevent her from asking for help, especially from her husband. It is not weakness to need help. It is weakness to pretend that you do not need it & my husband would not be pleased by weakness on my part."
Neiru Shrewd-Eyes
One thing I've decided about Perdita Nightshade's father, Nathanael Nightshade, is that he's an organist & he has a magical reed organ on his ship plays and, thanks to a divine blessing put on it, uses to attract Sea Monsters so the Crimson Raider fleet can kill them.🔽
I’m definitely going to have Myrmidon be another name for Antfolk in my story setting. I think that’s a good mythological connection to have. But, in keeping them separate from Formians from D&D, I think they’ll have far more individuality.⬇️ https://t.co/zImsIeBNfh
I’m #worldbuilding Antfolk, which is proving somewhat tricky due to a lack of useful reference images for anthropomorphic ants. Most are either too cartoonish or too, er, kinky. The only consistently useful ones are Formians from D&D⬇️
Ok, I've mentioned a few times that my OC Perdita Nightshade is a SATIRIST. I've also established she's a fashionista. So, how do those two relate? Well, she draws stuff like THIS to make fun of the stuff in fashion that she thinks is just plain SILLY.⬇️
Ok, here’s a test for you: Reverse the sexes & some of the pronouns in this scene & tell me if you’d be comfortable with it, especially the last line in the 2nd panel of the 2nd page. Would you defend it by saying “it’s just a comic” if things were reversed?
Elon making Twitteratti like this lose their minds is like watching Xellos taking out an army of Dragons with the flick of a finger. The best part is that this guy actually believes people like him are the "assets of Twitter." Oh, that's ADORABLE. https://t.co/us3f4rmT1A
See, THIS is why we need more stories where platonic love is given center stage - to counteract crap like this.
#characterdesign update on Maxine Vexx:
So, after chatting with @squidmamaart about this character & considering various aspects of my setting, I've decided that Vexx's Human mother was an Uardin woman (basically, African) who made a deal with an Incubus to escape the Undead.⬇️
