Inifinity and Beyond

I picked up the Pepe Iputsa did for the iconic Rare Pepe collection. It features Princess Peach trying to escape down a long hallway from Pepe but a giant Pepe is making it impossible. It feels like a commentary on the universal saturation of Pepe across the internet

but I decided to present it through the filter of my childhood dream. Also love to add some little side story in the details, I love when people staring around the picture and imagine “what are those things doing?”

I asked Iputsa about herself and work, she said, “I’m an artist from Bangkok. My art style has a lot inspiration from my childhood, my favorite cartoon and games. I love to tell a little story of my life that I would like to remember

The piece Head in the Metaverse reminded me of a similar R Crumb piece. Back then it was just the TV, now it's a whole lot more. The tech is diff, the art is diff but the fundamental human problem stays the same: Will u let the matrix control you or not?

The lines are intricate and jagged in a visually different way then art done natively on tablets. And this hand drawn feel of the works fit perfectly with the “retrofuture” style.
