Mr Alliel is also an artist that had a long career before NFTs exploded onto the scene. He was a comic book artist for 15 years and CL asked him what advice he has for young artist. He said “Be patient. The most important thing to get started is to build a community."

Shelter stands out in this way. Two tree shadows cross the girl in the center. The shadows are bold and it feels like theyre casting the shadows from behind us. This gives me a sense that I am “in” the scene with the characters. This is the subtle detail that sets Mr Alliel apart

I also like the “hyper-detail” style that has emerged in NFTs and usually involves a central main subject surrounded by a web of small meaningful symbols. Each time I look at these pieces I find something new that I didn't see before.

One portal is captioned “Depression doodles” on his insta. But with the diamonds, palm trees and FL colors, I wouldnt have associated this piece with depression. It feels like there's something positive about art turning out colorful and bold even coming from a place of sadness.

And because we are so early, they will also have the historic status of “pioneer” just by the luck of timing. If there's an artist that is popular and selling during the bear but all of a sudden falls out of favor in the bull, that will be an interesting case study.

I really agree with this one. The bear market is the perfect time to find these types of artists. Artists that emerge during this bear and have success won't help but have even more success during the next macro bull.

This is usually true to NFTs bc most All Time Highs come from bidding wars. Other pieces usually will need a similar kind of narrative or theater to ever break the ATH.
