The Protector: love this dude. Just a regular teen who became a hero because his cousin, who loved heroes, needed help and guidance. I figured it would make sense this kind of guy would be a football player, so his costume is actually a modified football uniform

Max Mercury: his fans will hate me so much and I’m fine with that. I just thought “what does a soldier in the 1800’s look like” and got inspiration for this book cover. He’s also hairy because there aren’t a lot of hairy dudes in comics

Jackpot is a funny obscure character to me. Her whole gimmick was that you THINK she was Mary Jane Watson, who hadn’t been in comics for a while… until no, she really isn’t. She’s just a woman named Sara with powers (and apparently an MJ fangirl)

@SuperiorDawn Nope. Her whole character existed as a red herring, especially given that MJ hadn’t been in comics since OMD. This lady, named Sara, had “enhanced abilities and agility” powers. Then, she sold the Jackpot identity to a friend, Alana, who had to take drugs for powers
