Supergirl (2005)
The new series barely got 6 issues out before being whisked into the One Year Later launch. Despite having a rotating cast of writers, the book still made steam. Probably because of the steady art and fans' interest in having old Kara back.
Kara Zor-el returns
Jeph Loeb & Michael Turner are tasked with bringing back the original Girl of Steel within the pages of Superman/Batman (DC's #1 selling book for a time. Remember that?)
An interim Supergirl (2003)
New Supergirl Cir-el barely lasts a year. I guess the editorial/creative team were unaware of Dan Didio's intent of resurrecting pre-Crisis Kara in 2004.
Supergirl 1996-2003
Peter David takes the Matrix Supergirl and melds her with the trappings of pre-Crisis Kara. And then adds some Angel/Demon/Heaven/Hell stuff from out of left field. Still rocked tho.
Youngblood: Bloodsport
Riding high on his Ultimates and Authority fame, Mark Millar mixes Battle Royale (the manga) with Youngblood characters. It's irreverent, crude and has a hot tub blow job scene. And I kinda wish there was more of it than one issue. Haha.
Remember when Cyclops & Phoenix spent part of their honeymoon in the Wildstorm Universe?
20 years ago this month, Geoff Johns began his star-making run on The Flash.
