The BND era and beyond seemed to go out of it's way to unnecessarily aggravate if not outright certain disgruntled fans, which not only seems mean spirited and spiteful, but it also contributed nothing to the long run beyond unnecessary aggression.
@DanielKalban @KylerClodfelter It also helps to provide a "Boots on the ground" scenario.
Take these similar scenes from Fantastic Four #36, verses two similar ones from earlier comics.
The latter scenes make the situation feel bigger and the stakes even higher.

Just a friendly reminder that we've had three pretty awesome Masters of the Universe shows in the past few years, and there's no better time to be a fan of this property than now...
@Reason1975 During the period where Otto took over Peter's body, one of his first acts was trying to engage in a sexual relationship with Mary Jane Watson, passing himself off as Peter in order to get into bed with her and being angry when she wouldn't give in.

I wonder why they never had a storyline where Spider-Man faced off against The Hood.
Parker Robinson was designed to literally be the evil Peter Parker.
Feels like they'd be natural adversaries.
Hypothetical question- if Zendaya was to get a power upgrade for the MCU, which would you prefer: An Iron Spider style suit, or being the MCU version of Firestar?
Just look at the situation with the animated adaptation of that story.
They spent two years on it, and after it was done- no one cared.
Then the minute Slott was gone, the plotline was dropped and they started doing Venom.

@Zakiyyah6 Yeah, this is just an example of some of the more violent acts from Maximum Carnage, and as you can see a lot of the more intense violence happens off panel and is left up to the reader's imagination.
You're getting the tune even if you can't hear the lyrics, in other words.
