One odd thing about NSM is that it's launched belly-up - I presume because flat top makes integration on a launch rail easier. Another odd thing is that the whole nose rotates to keep the imaging IR seeker horizon-stabilised - enabling a high degree of target discrimination.

@IBMninja @TimDotChoi It is possible to produce decent arrangements. Consider this SWATH variant of a missile corvette produced for VT by UCL back in the early 00's.

Done! This design was developed as part of the FFX studies of the 1980s, which compared SWATH and various types of monohulls. It was presented to SNAME symposium in 1985 by Kenell, White & Comstock. #CGI
