Sandiramon explains that they are the "Twelve servants of God", the Devas, who were sent to the Human World to show the power of God and punish the traitors.
Mihiramon also demonstrates not liking the way of Digimon evolution thanks to a human tamer, referring to Digimon that are in a partnership with humans as "traitor" and they are said to be "defying their God"
However, Mihiramon explains that although Humans are their creators, they aren't their God. And humans were only existing to aid the Digimon's evolution.
The first time in Tamers that we have mentions of the Holy Beast was in the first episodes, by they were simply called as "God" that some Digimon would mention. Hypnos' members initially thought that this was the way of Digimon refer to Humans, their creators.
And we know that the series itself recognizes it. But... At least "Tri." didn't use it... (Except for the Stage Play)...
I think that a lot of Digimon fans makes fun of Vamdemon as "the villain who always is back with the same plan, totally overused".
The Four Holy Beasts thread ended up being bigger than what I expected. So I'm really thinking about dividing the thread in multiple ones like the "Light and Darkness" that I did before. The next part will be about Tamers.
And so, Qinglongmon gave part of its power to Agumon, allowing him to evolve into War Greymon. But the power was only enough to Agumon.
However, Qinglongmon's power existed to maintain the Digital World in balance, and that power was already weak to be given to them, but now Black War Greymon returned and went to the Real World.
But even with this power, due to they not being accustomed with being in the Digital World, they were returning to their Child Forms. So, in order to help Imperialdramon, they gave all of their powers to him, what allowed Imperialdramon to Mode Change into Fighter Mode.
