@Metzgirl I use reference as much as possible. It's a huge help and gives me the look I personally want for my work.

Rorschach. Private commission. 2020. oil, pencil and ink on paper. 11"x17". With details and photo-reference. As usual, I tried to make the lighting as striking and moody as I could. I wanted this to feel humid and as if you could hear the buzzing of the neon sign.
