At lunch time Lily helped to spoon food into Sam’s mouth. A lot went into the wrong places but Sam did not seem to mind.

This week we will be looking through the pages of Don’t Want to Go, a companion to Bobbo Goes to School.

One morning Lily’s mum did not want to get up. She just lay there with her eyes closed. She said that her head aches and her throat was sore.

Most of Morag’s paintings are of the sea. Morag sings a lot while she paints.
‘I expect it was a selkie you heard singing.’

When I told Mum’s friend Morag about the singing she wasn’t in the least bit surprised. I was staying with Morag having a whole term off school. Her house is high up on the cliff. There’s a room with a big window where she does her painting.
