秀満は救援の為すぐに坂本城を目指しますが、その道中堀秀政と遭遇し、大胆にも打出浜から馬に騎乗したまま琵琶湖に乗り入れました。誰もが沈むと見ていましたが、秀満はそのまま城にたどり着きます。しかし、その先では敵が待ち構えており、秀満は自ら城に火を放ち自害するのでした。(2/2)
