さらに明治28年以降、四条派の画家飯島光峨の門下となってからは柳蛙」と名乗りました。柳蛙の作品としては日露戦争物が多く見られます。(2/2)

"Hikifune" in the title is to pull up the boat which is in the river by human hands from the land route. This river was called "Hikifune River", and it remains as the place name and the station name. (2/2)

広重「名所江戸百景 四ツ木通用水引ふね」

画面いっぱいに大きく湾曲した四ツ木通用水を舟がのぼっていきます。曳舟(ひきふね)とは川に浮かべた舟を人力で牽引することを指し、現在は地名としてその名を残しています。

In an extremely dangerous situation, he finally jumped into the Lake Biwa with his horse. Everyone watching it thought he will drown, however, he reached the castle. But the castle was already surrounded by the enemy, and he set fire to the castle and killed himself. (3/3)

When Akechi Mitsuhide was killed just after the Honnō-Ji Incident, Akechi Hidemitsu who was the senior vassal of Mitsuhide heard the news at Azuchi castle. (1/3)

秀満は救援の為すぐに坂本城を目指しますが、その道中堀秀政と遭遇し、大胆にも打出浜から馬に騎乗したまま琵琶湖に乗り入れました。
誰もが沈むと見ていたところを秀満はそのまま城にたどり着きます。しかしその先では既に敵が待ち構えており、秀満はついに自ら城に火を放ち、自害するのでした。(2/2)
