Moving on: the book includes a huge number of excellent and often beautiful depictions of #dinosaurs (and #pterosaurs). Here are just a few: The Cartoon Guide to the Dinosaurs - TCGD from here - includes HUNDREDS of illustrations... #paleoart #palaeoart
Kim is our guide, and the hero of this work. He's a professional comic artist, evidently has scientific training, and is obviously a big fan of natural history, science, and the history of science. The book includes numerous very amusing and informative self-portraits...

A flying visit to one of the world's most picturesque #museums. They have some great model fishes.
Your reminder that the Dodo wasn't the only giant, flightless, island-dwelling #pigeon of recent centuries. Rodrigues in the Mascarenes was home to the #Solitaire, a related species with a taller appearance, more pronounced sexual dimorphism, and bony calluses on its wing bones.
