When at I always go look at the the displays are great. Here's a seriema, the two dodo models (models, not taxiderm specimens) and a Cape/Pintado petrel.

Looks like the third edition of How They Lived & Evolved is done and published. It'll be a few weeks before it's on sale though. It's the same as the second edition bar one figure caption though - we didn't have time to make all the changes we wanted to!

I also feel compelled to add that Catherine Zeta-Jones has been used as a human scale bar here and there online.

Palaeontologist Andrew Farke has often been used as a scale bar, mostly in connection with ceratopsians (because that's the group he specialises on)...

And here's the Papo 2008 Humpback from the same range. Again, it has a mobile lower jaw and is great. But its proportions are weird - I think the tailstock should be longer. More another time!

This might be a native British Pardosa, or something carried in by mistake from northern Africa. I've uploaded to inaturalist but no responses yet.
