Another almost 1:1 bit.
I will admit, Red Rush may be the one Guardian whose comic design I preferred, though I see the pro runner inspo in the shows design.

I love the idea of Midnight City and even if they didn't explain it in the show I love that it still looks like the sky from Batman TAS

I like that in the show we actually get to see this bit play out, as in the comics I believe she just tells Mark about it later

All the expression work in this issue is super fun

This is quite possibly my favorite single Cory Walker panel of all time.

So this is a kind of deep cut easter egg that I don't see talked about too often, but Rick is actually named after Rick Sheridan, the human host to Marvel's Sleep Walker, which is a favorite of Kirkmans.
He was actually set to write a new SW book when he was writing this!

While I am admittedly tickled by their sexual appetite, I'm glad we see more of the give and take of their relationship in the show.

I always wondered about the 'William' name gag as I know he was named after Bill Crabtree, the colorist of these early issues, who seemed to be genuine friends with Kirkman, though I know recently he's claimed he was swindled out of residual profits.
