Friday 29th July - An 1836 portrait of Ada Lovelace by Margaret Sarah Carpenter. Following her father's death Ada was encouraged by her mother to study mathematics and logic, going on to work with Charles Babbage on his Analytical Engine and publishing the very first algorithm.
Tuesday 28th June - 'Summer, Nantmor' by Sir John Kyffin Wiliams (1918-2006). One of the major figures of 20th Century Welsh landscape art, Kyffin's palette was transformed by his time studying and painting in Y Wladfa, the Welsh settlement in Patagonia.
