highlights from the stuff I've been reading from scans. Definitely need to put together a "best of" list this time around. Man of Iron is great and the jump of quality when Bob comes on is also huge, but that opening miniseries is genuinely just hokey in a bad way
I feel like I'm still not "into" comics. I haven't read any of the "good" ones. I go through my list and it's all either godtier metafiction or edgy garbage. How could this have happened to me!
(no taggo but if you're reading this know that you should Always post your faves) https://t.co/n6orBur80F
just been rereading over Far Sights and Mourning Songs (AKA Ask Onyx Prime) for the first time since it ran. I can say this, because I genuinely contributed (almost) nothing to it, but some of the most heartfelt and funny posts in AVP^2 were his
@Waspshot23 you've only gone and bloody given me brain worms haven't you

Withered Hope: kinda similar to Gone Too Far, but with more likable protagonists and a very well-done take on whether power/resources compel a person/group to help others; Crystal Widow is the standout darkhorse. Also, the best take on beaten-by-bureaucracy I've ever seen
that said, due to my rare case of "UT toys of G1/TFTM characters" brainworms, I find myself utterly at the mercy of this story's scant references to TFTM. Quoting TFTM in G1 comics: bad, hackneyed. In UT stories: effervescent. Look at this opening art! That's them, babey!
like, it's all cool fuckers: mammoth Nemesis Prime! Ramjet! Dark Scorponok! That friggin Unicron (I'm saying it—while it's not very UT, Revelations Part 3 is one of the best Unicron takes ever. Like holy SHIT). And as a metatext freak myself, I mark out over the singularity stuff
Balancing Act: in real-world terms, this is F*nPub's first Significant story. It's standard Lee fare in that it's hard to view it as a story, rather than... an elaborate narrative framework for toy bios? So a lot of the appeal is just seeing yer favourite toy lads on the page
I've been vibrating profusely over this for MONTHS and it's finally out: @cyberlink420's complete dub of maybe the most underrated Transformers comic ever, Beast Wars Uprising: Alone Together. Fully voice-acted, full SFX, editing that will make you forget you're watching a comic! https://t.co/lbj9tjA6jF
