I'm getting tired of fucking seeing this. Bad enough it was on reddit, I didn't need to see it TWICE in twitter.
I'm fucking tired man. https://t.co/KzXH0Mmegb
I remember Jenny Slate was writing a Live Action/CGI Looney Tunes movie back in 2012.
It got shelved, but Slate said "It was very, very fun to write it, but in the end, I don’t think I was able to be as formulaic and mainstream as that movie needs".
Curious about the pitch.
@minnebama First off, chill. That's the storyline for when the movie was going to be fully animated.
Secondly, it's coming out next year and it's going to be a live action/stylized CG film in the vein of Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, etc. They'll also be implementing hand drawn elements too.
Can we start a petition to make @JimSoper4 's "Tom and Jerry" an actual thing? Please?
I don't care if it's a new show, new theatrical short, or sequel to the live action/Stylized CG that for some reason just changed the designs from 50's era to 40's era.
I want, no, NEED it.
I had an image about a live action TMNT movie with cartoony, stylized designs taken from the 80's cartoon done in the way of Sponge On The Run. Little realism weighing it down.
All taking place in a stylized 1980s New York City.
Directed by "Kung Fury" director David Sandberg.
@WeatherbeeMr @DiscussingFilm Why is it a bummer? This is going to be one of these movies that does a different approach to the "live action/cgi hybrid" type of film.
They're taking a Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, etc approach here.
So it's stylized CG with hand drawn elements to look like "vintage 2D".
@LouisBl43470011 @DiscussingFilm It's going to be CG, but they're implementing hand drawn elements in order to give it a "vintage 2D" look. They're going for something more like Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, etc rather than Alvin or Smurfs.
Look, am I upset that it got pushed back? Yes, do I understand why? Also yes.
But you know what? On the bright side it gives the team more time to work on the movie, finalize things, and make it the best it can be.
And with the promise it has, what's wrong with that? https://t.co/Utq87TOqgp
@DiscussingFilm For those who aren't aware, they're taking a Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, etc approach to this.
Yes, it's CGI, but it's going to implement hand drawn elements as well to look like "vintage 2D".
