All of us know M42, the best sight for astronomical fans. Gas, dust, stars… it’s wonderful visually with or without filters…but…in this image you can see many details & colors.

Let me introduce you the Dolphin nebula Sh2-308. It surrounds a pre-supernova Wolf–Rayet star.

Early Universe was very different to the current one: Galaxies had active nucleus with bright jets & X-rays & gamma emissions: the quasars.
They are still visible when we image the farthest objects!

Beta Lyrae is a multiple star (six components!). The main one hides the second and both are surrounded by an accretion disk formed by mass transfer between them.

After a supernova explosion the gas ejected may form a nebula called "supernova remnant" and could be one of the objects most beautiful in the heavens.

The Helix planetary nebula is one of the nearest: “only” 700 lightyears distant.
The central old #star is losing its external layers creating the nebula.
Our sun will create also a planetary #nebula… in 4000-5000 million years.

The James Webb’s Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) is not working correctly. A mechanism that supports the medium-resolution spectroscopy (MRS), exhibited a increased friction. The Webb team has paused its work.

NGC 6589 and NGC 6590 are reflection nebulas in the constellation of Sagittarius in a rich area of Milky Way stars.
NGC 6590 is the nebula at top, around a double star with a small dark nebula close to them and all into the NGC 6590…
