There seems to be a lot of confusion about mounted combat in #DnD so really quick, 2 things to keep in mind:

a) You choose to control the mount or let it act independently, except intelligent creatures are always independent (1/2)

What if you expand the idea of a skills challenge to an entire adventure? The party has to succeed at X many goals before Y failures?

Folks (like me!) are tempted by a web of conflicting desires a la Hoard of the Dragon Queen. But I like the simplicity of this approach too. #DnD

I had a great #DnD session last night, but I made one glaring mistake. And it's one I've made a few times, so it's worth repeating this:

✨Banishment is to be used BY the players, not ON the players. ✨

It's simply no fun to have your turn stolen away.

The actions martial classes can take besides "I swing my sword" like shove, grapple, help, as well as the options found in the DMG are *situational.

The thing I think folks who play martials want is *consistently viable offensive options.
