Succeeding the original Toyota Corolla in 1970, the mk2 model had adapted the winning formula but made the car's dimensions slightly bigger. This rather strange Australian brochure features an 'investigative journalist' discovering rumours of the death of the Corolla are untrue.

The Scottish-built Sunbeam was the car funded by the British taxpayer to help save Chrysler UK from collapse, being a hastily-developed, cut-down Avenger. The model would soon become a Talbot after PSA's acquisition of Chrysler's European operations in the UK, France and Spain.

Estate cars were crucial to Volvo's success, with this 1995 brochure noting half of 850 buyers chose this style. Safety, a traditional Volvo virtue, was still to the fore, with the model being one of the pioneers of the company's Side Impact Protection System (SIPS).

The Bagheera was introduced in France in 1973, originally with a 1294cc engine. Chrysler UK's belated decision to import small numbers presumably aimed to add glamour to its range, and provide some kind of replacement for the Sunbeam Rapier fastback, which was dropped in 1976.
