James 2nd Earl of Douglas of Tantallon unhorsed Hotspur Percy in 1388 stealing Hotspur's banner. Percy tried to steal Douglas's banner at Otteburn but was captured. Douglas was killed by his own armour bearer. His armour bearer was killed soon after before he could be questioned.
In 1338 Ramsay was able to get past the English blockade fleet landing supplies & men to help Black Agnes in her defense of Dunbar Castle. He then raided the English camp setting fire to siege engines before withdrawing back to Castle in the confusion. (Siege was soon quitted)

At the Battle of Poitiers 1356 William Douglas and Archibald Douglas fought for the French King John 'The Good'. Scots/French force defeated. King John was captured. So too was Archibald but he looked like 'Cooks Boy' in his Master's armour and was thrown out the English camp.

In 1355 Ramsay of Dalhousie Castle draws Lord Dacre & Grey from Norham Castle into an ambush at the battle of Nesbit Moor. Halyburton of Dirleton Castle was killed in the Scots charge but English defeated with Dacre & Grey taken captive for ransom. #NorhamCastle #ScottishBattles
