Practicing values. It's easy to explain. Harder to execute.
I think this synthesis allowed Barks to pull from the strengths of comic strips and comic books.
He kept us grounded enough that he could delight us with the subtleties of his characters as actors.
But he also employed cinematic techniques to make his adventures exciting
One artists that I haven't mentioned is Carl Barks who seemed to be combine the best elements of comic books and comic strips for his stories.
Apparently Supergirl's new costume is a vintage tracksuit https://t.co/Gsu8SEOXkp
Nor should stories steer away from any social context. But to me it never meant much to me that Chang in Tintin was Chinese but more that he was Tintin's friend.
If the characters had turned to the reader and said "racism is bad" the spell would have been broken.
Ok, working on some different inking options.
1. Traditionally inked and *gulp* hand-lettered.
2. Digitally inked and using a comic font.
Any thoughts / preferences?
I drew this t-shirt 14 years ago. Kinda fun looking back. There's lots I'd change now but my tastes clearly haven't changed much.
@555Calypso @meat_luvr @Clockfuck1 @RussoJackson @maya_ruinz I get it. I'd humbly suggest that predatory men are fully bipartisan. Some of the more notable examples in recent history have been men of the left: Clinton, Weinstein, Epstein.
Anyway, I'd like protecting kids to be bipartisan too.
