An album thats part of an unusual trend in the victorian era where Victorian women experimented with photocollage to create surreal and playful images using watercolours, ink, and albumen silver prints.

Illustrated from a journal kept by captain's wife Susan C. Austin Veeder, illustrating a whaling voyage to Talcahuano, Pitcairn, Sandwich Islands, Arctic, and Tahiti.

Dates of Voyage 13th September 1848 - 24th March 1853.
