Ryomou Shimei by Bordin Marsinkul. Another favorite anime/manga character (one who I um have another variety of art around). Bordin did a Cass from a while back for me and I kind of wanted to see another favorite of mine done by him and finally, I do. 😁
It's Tuesday. You know what that means. #CAINAISSANCE2022 update for all DC comics that feature Cass in them! Cass appears in one comic this week (one page again), Detective Comics #1049!
This issue is kind of important actually, this is the first time Cass and Jim Gordon share a scene TOGETHER in MAIN continuity since-- No Man's Land. Yeah, I know. 😯
I think why it separates the artists who draw the character. Why also I think I'm really digging Jorge Corona drawing her in Batgirls because even with the white lenses Corona knows when to draw Cass scary but also when to have her be otherwise expressive.
But the best thing about an artist working on her. You can twist that from being spooky to caring at the drop of a hat. Because it just showcases why the artist is that darn good knowing when to balance the two.
@TheBat_Family Me being slightly bitter how they tripped up Cass so badly for Babs to "flourish". Also, me worried like hell DC would put Babs back as Batgirl and take out Cass/Steph to limbo again.
