Well I am proud to be able to say that having seawatched once from Sheringham shelter last century, I have now also seawatched from there once this century. Here's a blatpic of the juvenile Sabines- excellent shouted directions from the locals.
Two Hobby kits still distantly decorating a big fir last night- southward bound any day now.
Back on the paint last night after a self-imposed ban to get some admin done. Here's a House Martin about to grab back on with its left foot after being biffed off its wire by the wind.
Not sure where the week has gone, but anyway here's a workout of a Stone Curlew going from squinty baleful to bug-eyed.
No time for a proper paint, but here's a speedy tribute to @invisblebirder 's lovely Redfoot
No Little Gulls that i could see today, but lovely moulting Slav with its antlers being biffed around in the wind and throwing a shadow across the top of its head. I do like that sort of thing.
Another Knotting session at Wrabness interrupted- got half way down the left leg of the first flagged bird and a Raven started honking from the trees along the railway embankment.
Getting behind on paintings what with one thing and another- this should be a digistudy of a Pallid Harrier's tail furling and unfurling if my gifs are behaving...
Heard a cheery "chewit" from my sycamores yesterday and got as far as thinking the back garden was an odd place for a Spotted Redshank...today investigated more sensibly and it is indeed a YBW.
Still Osprey action on the river. This adult has been about for a while and hauled out on the shore yesterday AM for a bit which was rather splendid.
